    What is provided as part of the Barrel House bar and grill franchise program?

    Before you open your own Barrel House location, we will provide initial training, including our exclusive We Care culture training program, at our Davenport, Iowa flagship location, which will take place over a period of two weeks for up to three people. Around your grand opening, members of our franchise development team will offer on-site training for a duration of three to five days. Our training program includes information relating to restaurant operations, understanding the equipment usage and maintenance, customer service, We Care training in action, marketing and sales programs and methods of controlling operating costs. In addition, you will have access to our exclusive confidential operations manual to help run your bar and grill franchise properly on a day-to-day basis.

    How much will the Barrel House franchise program cost me?

    The estimated total initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $540,000 to $1,215,000 for a single location. This includes a $40,000 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial bar franchise business growth stages.

    Is financing available?

    We do not provide direct financing to bar franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.

    Are there ongoing fees to pay?

    We charge a royalty fee equal to 5% of total gross sales, and there is also a $100 monthly technology fee. Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of recipes, product and supply channels, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.     Are there any advertising fees?

    Franchisees will be required to spend a minimum of 1% of gross sales each month on local marketing. Barrel House franchisees will also contribute up to 3% of gross sales into the system marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Barrel House brand.

    What is the term of the bar franchise agreement?

    The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years.
